Spelling: Unit 31 Test

*Please turn off spell check BEFORE our meet tomorrow. Directions to turn off spell check are posted in google classroom. Students may turn spell check back on after the test. 

Math: IXL Diagnostic Test - Today you will continue to work on completing your bubbles for MATH ONLY! Please do your best, and answer the questions by yourself. Use scrap paper for problems if you need to!
  • Your goal should be to FINISH completing your bubbles today. 
  • This is the last day I am making this an "assignment." If you do not finish your bubbles today, you must complete the test on your own time. 
    • The Diagnostic Math Test must be completed for the diocese by May 20th. 
  • I will check student accounts at the end of the day to see their progress. When your child closes all of the bubbles, I will let you know that they have finished. 
*Students should be scoring in the 300-400 range. 300 is grade level. The score range is from 0-1300, but 1300 is at the high school level. 

**If you are done with your Diagnostic Test, you can play math games on ABCya!

Math: Chapter 8 - Inches, Liters, Grams, and Time
  • Tape lesson "8.15 Minutes" notes on the next page in your notebook. These notes should be in your math folder. 
    • Follow along on textbook p. 288-289 while you watch this educreations video. You do not need to write these problems in your notebook, but make sure you are listening and following along. 
        • Complete WB p. 106 - Use your notes for quick reminders on this lesson and to view the clock with minutes. 
        *Time is another tricky concept to teach through a computer screen. I hope my videos help.

        *IXL Diagnostic Test - I will assign this again tomorrow, but students can continue working if they have extra time.
        • Students should be scoring in the 300-400 range. 300 is grade level. The score range is from 0-1300, but 1300 is at the high school level. 

        Reading: Finish reading chapters 14-15 in Charlotte's Web - Finish the chapter 14-15 pages on google classroom. The page numbers at the bottom are 22-24 (the slides are numbered 23-25.) This work is due by the end of the day.

            In google classroom, I posted yesterday's pages for you to check when you can. These pages and the next several pages have to do with syllables. With different distractions on google meet, I think it will be easier to post these answers rather than trying to spell out each individual word.

            Math: IXL Diagnostic Test - Today you will start working on completing your bubbles for MATH ONLY! Please do your best, and answer the questions by yourself. Use scrap paper for problems if you need to!
            • Try to work for at least 40 minutes today to close some of your bubbles. 
            • I will assign this again next Friday so you have another day to work on it. This DOES NOT need to be finished today, but you need to begin working on it. 
            • I will check student accounts at the end of the day to see their progress. When your child closes all of the bubbles, I will let you know that they have finished. 
            *Please see the letter on google classroom with step-by-step instructions to get started.

            Reading: We will continue with Charlotte's Web on Monday.

            Science: How Animals Grow and Change

            Read textbook pages A42-A47 and complete p. 17 in your packet. We will do both of these on our google meet.

              • Use your textbook to type the definitions for amphibian, gills, tadpole, and mammal.
